Solazyme has designed a benefits program that provides our employees and family members with a comprehensive tool kit to facilitate maximization of their physical and financial health and well being. We provide our employees and their families with quality insurance coverage, flexibility, options, and savings.

Benefits You Can Count On

Health Medical Solazyme offers our employees and eligible family members a choice of medical plans with either health maintenance organizations (HMO) or preferred provider organizations (PPO). We offer extensive coverage under both types of medical plans.
Dental Solazyme is committed to helping employees pay for the cost of dental care. Our plan provides coverage to employees & eligible family members for preventative, basic, restorative, and child orthodontia services at varying levels.
Vision Solazyme is contracted with one of the largest nationwide vision care providers in order to offer high quality coverage to our employees & eligible family members.
Well Being Life + Accident
Insurance
Solazyme is dedicated to helping our employees provide financial security for their survivors in case of their death. All eligible employees of Solazyme are offered a life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance benefit of their annual salary to a maximum of $250,000. Eligible employees are also provided with Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and international health insurance.
Disability Income
Protection
Solazyme offers short term and long term disability programs to assist employees who are unable to work due to illness, injury, or pregnancy. These plans provide for the employee to receive a portion of their income while they are recovering or unable to work.
Tax Savings Solazyme offers a flexible spending account (FSA) that allows employees to pay for some health & dependent care expenses before social security & federal income taxes are withheld. This program enables employees to reduce their tax expense and have more disposable income.
Retirement
Savings Plan
Solazyme offers a 401K retirement saving plan supported by investment advisors from Morgan Stanley. All qualified employees of Solazyme are eligible to participate in our 401K.
Vacation Solazyme employees are eligible and encouraged to play as hard as they work during paid, personal time off (PTO) to be used for vacations, personal, or sick leave. All full time employees of Solazyme will accrue PTO at the minimum rate of 20 days per year. Maximum accrual & carryover of PTO is based on years of service.
Holidays Solazyme’s holiday schedule currently consists of nine paid holidays. Regular full-time and hourly full-time employees will be eligible for all paid holidays.
Wellness Program Stay fit or get fit with the team! Solazyme will reimburse employees up $600 per year for a gym membership.
